Heartfelt Mid-Autumn Festival Greetings to Falun Gong Founder from Across the World

As the full moon rises on Oct. 6, Falun Dafa practitioners and supporters around the globe are expressing their deepest gratitude and best wishes to Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, on the joyous occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival (also called Moon Festival). Traditionally a time for family reunions and thanksgiving, this holiday has become a moment for millions to reflect on the profound blessings Falun Dafa has brought to their lives.

Practitioners and supporters worldwide have sent tens of thousands of Moon Festival greetings in the form of calligraphy, photographs, e-cards, colorful Flash animations, prose, poetry, and more, to the website Minghui.org, a website which documents the persecution and Falun Gong practitioners’ experiences from a network of contacts in China and abroad. Their messages also thank Mr. Li for introducing Falun Gong’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and credit the practice for transforming their lives, improving their physical and mental well-being, and guiding them through life’s challenges with wisdom and clarity.

Greetings from across China

A significant portion of the greetings sent to Mr. Li came from mainland China, relayed by practitioners from all the provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions. Under the Chinese regime’s ongoing and brutal persecution, the simple act of sending such holiday greetings carries profound meaning. Practitioners risk potential arrest and imprisonment for using internet-circumvention tools and submitting messages to a banned website like Minghui.org.

Despite over 26 years of suppression, the volume and diversity of these greetings underscores Falun Gong’s enduring appeal and resilience in China, as well as the practice’s profound impact on many Chinese people’s lives.

“We miss Master Li very much. Thank you for teaching us Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and making us better citizens,” wrote practitioners from Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province.

A couple and their two children from Fuzhou City, Fujian Province said in their greeting, “Falun Dafa has helped us become better people and our gratitude is beyond words. There is no way for us to return Master’s compassion and sacrifice. We will remain diligent on the cultivation path and help Master save more people.”

 “We are practitioners from the Hui, Xibe, Mongolian, Uyghur, Manchu, Hezhe, Korean, and Buyi ethnic groups in Beijing. We have been cultivating for nearly 30 years. Having seen how our behavior improved after practicing Falun Dafa, local residents know that Falun Dafa is a righteous faith, and they’ve gradually begun following Falun Dafa’s principles to be better people,” A group of practitioners in Beijing wrote.

“Our tribal people not only support us in practicing Falun Dafa but also encourage our efforts to save people. We feel that we are the most fortunate people. No words can describe our gratitude to Master. We hope that Master will return to China.”

Greetings from over 60 countries

Beyond China’s borders, Falun Dafa practitioners from over 60 countries and regions—including Australia, the United States, Canada, Brazil, France, Germany, the U.K., Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, India, Turkey, Iran, Israel, and more—sent greetings to Master Li via Minghui.

“Carrying infinite gratitude, we offer our sincerest blessings. The light of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance forever shines in our hearts. We wish Master a happy Mid-Autumn Festival!” one global greeting read.

From practitioners of an Indian Fa-study group the message read, “With deepest respect and gratitude, we wish Master Li a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival. May we continue cultivating harmoniously, follow your guidance, and work together to save sentient beings.”

From Europe to South America, and from Asia to the Middle East, practitioners celebrated the spiritual light Falun Dafa has brought to the world, expressing determination to stay true to Master’s teachings and fulfill their vows.

Alongside practitioners, many supporters of Falun Dafa in China—people who do not practice but believe in its principles—sent their warm wishes. They shared how their faith in the phrases “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good” brought them blessings of health, peace, and renewed hope.

 “Greetings, Master Li! Although I don’t practice Dafa myself, I have been supporting my wife in doing it. She often goes out to distribute flyers,” an 80-year-old farmer from Liaoning wrote. “Dafa protects me and gives me good health. I can still work in the field and grow crops now. I also raise chickens and geese, and often go to the local market to sell the eggs. I will always support Dafa!”

Hundreds of supporters—from Beijing to Inner Mongolia, Yunnan, and Guangdong—joined in sending messages of joy and reverence. Together with practitioners worldwide, they conveyed one shared sentiment:

“Thank you, Master Li, for your boundless compassion. We wish you a happy and peaceful Mid-Autumn Festival!”
